Strawberry Pickins'

After a week of rain, the most beautiful sunny day fell upon us and we couldn't wait to head over to our favorite farm with a few friends to go berry pickin'! The tractor ride to the field was a joyride!

Gavin couldn't wait to stomp around in his 'farmer' boots!

The strawberry patch was just aching to be picked!

So, we got right to it!

It was all about picking the juiciest- reddest- ripe berry!

Gavin kept pointing out the very best!

Wait...Let's see that in zoom, shall we?!
Just look at how delicate my little boy is!
Takes after his mama! =)

One berry bushel down, many more to go!

After filling up each carton,

Gavin 's duty was to carry the strawberry filled baskets to the take-home 'Just Picked Berries' box,

And bring an empty carton to start the pickin' process all over again!

A whole bunch of berries have just been picked!

The cutest little berry-picker in the field!

Gavin and I loooove strawberries and the freshest are the bestest, so a few taste-tests were in order! ;)

Mmmm, GOOD! Now we just need some Nutella!

But nothing is quite as sweet as kisses from my boy!

Even MomMom scored a few!

We were just as fulfilled watching our littles run through the strawberry fields!

I was one very happy mama just living in the moment- girlfriends, berries, and my family! My heart was content!

Back on the tractor heading once again to the farm grounds,

Gavin had a great time on the farm, as usual!

The flowers were in full bloom,

And tons of yummy, fresh produce!

A refreshing treat after a fun day in the strawberry patch!

We absolutely love visiting Johnson's Farm on a monthly basis!

Can't wait for June's festivities here on the farm!
