Coming Soon!

Unleashing the Inner-Child in us Mama's!

As you can see in the photo above and from this post , it was one heckuv-an-awesome week near the Jersey Shore! Even us Mama's joined our little ones in some sprinkler fun, pool time adventures, and slip-n-sliding! Perhaps a little too much fun...so, much in fact I am having a difficult time editing out my favorites!

So here's a little Forewarning- there will be an overload of silliness (cuteness too) coming your way! =)

Watermelon & Flutterflies

Summer is not complete without sticky watermelon cheeks and the melon juices dribbling down little chins! I know these two absolutely love the taste of summer...just like their mama's did growing up in this country chic part of the world!

So much in fact, I wasn't sure the slices were even big enough!

Not to mention, this little guy was not willing to give anyone a taste of his summer treat!

Not even his mama...and I don't blame him cause it was lip-smackin'-finger-lickin'-good!

After enjoying every last bite of their watermelon treat, they ran barefoot through the grass as night set in, chasing (what we like to call) Flutterflies. Another childhood fave of ours...and one more check off our summer to-do list!

Look closely and you can see some precious
baby blues peeking through the net...

Flutterflies, you ask?
A Butterfly Net...

+ Fireflies...

The hunt goes on until...

Voila!
Flutterflies in a jar!

Now that is a Blissful Summer Day!

Reunited

While visiting our home-away-from-home, on Saturday we gathered with generations of family from my father's side. It was such a treat to reunite with some fabulous people!

While our little ones entertained themselves with water guns and swing-sets,

I was intrigued with the details of our family history! The ladies that organized our family reunion worked so hard to trace way back to the 1800's and the things they discovered amazed me...

I was inspired by their findings and all their hard work... So much in fact, I am working on our very own histories from each side of the family. I canNOT wait to see what we come up with! Family is such a Blessing!

Under the Stars

After a morning of preschool graduation, a 3-hour road trip back to the valley, and an afternoon with family...we headed over to the Sky-Vu Drive-In for a family movie night under the stars! By far, one of our favorite things to do when we visit 'home'! Our peaceful escape away from the big city where life seems to stand still for just a moment!

Tonight's Movie Features: Marmaduke & The A-Team

We love lounging in the back of our Jeep Liberty with the seats down in our comfiest clothes, pillows, blankets, and snacks as our late night double features hit the giant outdoor screen! But a lot of silliness to pass the time while waiting for the nightfall to set in before the movies begin...

A spider-man umbrella found in the back was a fun prop...

A few superhero lego's... (okay, and our silly faces, too)

An artificial flower...(don't ask!) ;)

And, well, Daddy always makes for good laughs to pass the time...

Some glow-in-the-dark necklaces also made for crazy-silly props...Gotta love those...and the places they go! ;)

The stars- moon- mountain views make for a lovely movie night setting...but it's the good company that made this night so special!
