The Journey Begins: Day 1

We were SO ready to take a road trip to visit family in the State for Lovers! I took this same trip with my fam year after year growing up as a little girl and always loooved it, so I knew Gavin would too! There was SO much fun involved on this vaca, which is why I will be doing lots of little blog break-downs of all our daily outings to avoid my ever-so-popular-mile-long-posts. haha!

So, to start off our vacation, here's how our journey began....

We drove from PA to VA through the late night...and Gav was a trooper! He was SO excited he stayed awake for most of the drive, while Nini slept ever-so-snugly curled up on the back seat! Luckily, Gavin tuckered himself out right before we...(sigh) accidentally hit a LARGE owl! Not sure why it was peacefully perched right smack dab in the middle of our roadside, and well long story short based on the circumstances, we had a few feather remains in our grill the next morning (serious tear-jerker)! ;(

On a side note: we didn't get any bad omen that I thought we'd be granted after killing such a cool creature...perhaps it was a lucky bird cause we had one divine vacation, but I still play back that horrid, eventful late night! Our poor feathered friend!

On a much better note: Our first arrival day, we recouped from our travels and completely chillaxed in prep for the next adventures to come....Stay tuned!
