Ocracoke Island

After our ferry ride over to Ocracoke Island, we fell in love.

Ha, that kind of love happened over 12 years ago.
I meant we really did fall in love with this
super cozy and quaint little island.

We drove to the far end of the island to explore all the in-between.

The road into the mainland of the island,
reminded me of islands we have been to before.

We saw some great picnic spots,

Some adorable little shops,

And, drove all the way to the Ocracoke Island Light Station.

It was the shortest lighthouse yet,
sitting amongst the plush trees so it was hard to find.

But, hubby claimed this to be one of his favorites!

As we were heading back to the ferry,
we stopped off at some stables.

Horses are such amazing creatures.

Our final stop was along the Ocracoke beaches!

We grabbed a few pictures on the sandy dunes!

I scored a fair share of smooches,

and I just can't get enough of these two!!

He lights up our entire world!

'Surfing' down the dunes.

We loved our time here in Ocracoke!

And plan to re-visit Ocracoke Island for a family vacation,

...One of the very near summers!
