Hiking the Dunes

Our previous hiking trail prepped us for this next hiking extravaganza on Jockey's Ridge! The dunes were ginormous but hiking up was a treat to see such beautiful views of plush greenery and miles of ocean as the backdrop!

Oh, and I should add, remember in this post when I mentioned trying to avoid my ever-so-popular-mile-long-posts, hence the bunch of mini previous posts?!?! Well, scratch that cause this one is a biggie! So, let the hiking begin....

At Last! We made it to the top of ONE of the sand dunes...
many more to come!

Then we're off once again...
hiking, climbing and running to the highest sandy peak!

Voila! The sights. Oh, the sights of gloriousness...and one little dude hanging on to his mama in the silliest toddler fashion!

Piggybacking across what felt like the Sahara, haha!

Up and down, up and down saving the biggest sand dune for last!

We made it...and loooooving these moments!
That's two thumbs up!

Now that is a true hiking experience...
1 little guy totally tuckered out! ;)

These dunes were remarkable...

And we'll be sure to visit back here again in the upcoming years!
