(hint: one of Gavin's favorite spongy characters)... gasp
SpongeBob SquarePants!
There is just something about this silly underwater creature that makes Gavin giggle. One morning out at breakfast, Gavin discovered his ruffly placemat. All of a sudden G rotated his placemat vertically, turned to me and said, "Mommy, it looks like SpongeBob!" We could totally see the correlation between the two.
Surely I had no choice but to grab a few extras so we could make our very own homemade SpongeBob. First step, changing the paper from
white ------> yellow!
After making Spongebob's teeny-tiny little details (every last bit from construction paper) we were ready to assemble. We couldn't have done it without a little (okay, lots of) help from Daddy!The best features are Spongebob's hands...they were traced right from Gavin's very own little patties.
Gavin surely has one large creative imagination for his little tot mind! :)
Note: the mini red and blue stripes in the socks, red cheekies, and shine on the shoes...also construction paper details...lol!
Oh, but the best part of all, are the yummy Spongebob Squarepants snacks!
