This year marks our 2nd wedding anniversary, so Michael and I planned a mini escape to set sail on the Chesapeake Bay for a few days. Of course, as our journey to Saint Michaels, Maryland was about to begin, we spotted this bright red balloon in the back seat! Clearly, the balloon was left behind by our 4-year old...and no matter where we go, or how far from home, we are always reminded of our little sweetheart that awaits our return!
That balloon was quite comical to say the least, and every time we started to share a story about our little guy, we'd peek around the head seat and smile as the balloon bobbed from the far back!
The road trip was very relaxing and it was nice to have a 3-hour adult conversations the entire trip. Or well, perhaps not the entire trip because my hubs and I like to be silly at times and would break out in tunes to our favorite jams on the radio!
Cloth happens to be the traditional second year anniversary gift so it couldn't have been a better year to go sailing! We spoke of our anticipation of Sailing the Selina, and what surprises we'd come across to bring home for our little guy! And, oh those views- with tree-lined curvy roadways and bursts of autumn were so beautiful along the way!
A sweet two years it has been, and a very sweet anniversary lies ahead...Stay tuned!
