Snowy Treats

The snow from our 2010 blizzard last week brought back a fabulous memory from when I was a little girl. Making homemade ice cream with my parents, sister and brother was one of the perfect ways to spend our family time snowed in together! So, of course I wanted to share this tradition with my two loves.

But first, Gavin insisted on snapping a cute pic of Michael and I before we started the ice cream process,

Followed by a few cute (and silly) photo ops of my little sweetie hard at work!

Then, we all sat back and watched as the ice cream machine created some magic!

In the end, delicious homemade soft-serve vanilla ice cream...

Topped with fresh homemade heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies just in time for our Valentine festivities!

Voila!

Now that's a whole lotta sweetness for a perfect wintry treat!
